This workshop leads participants in a discussion rooted in Racial Identity Development Theory and how it may inform creating a more inclusive and diverse campus. This virtual discussion is intended to help participants examine Racial Identity Development theory through various lenses: reflective writing, virtual sharing, and virtual discussions. The objective is to broaden participant’s notions of race, Identity, and conflict and its impact on institutional learning. The set of exercises will help participants to critically examine their own trauma, positions of power, and privilege, and its impact in the workplace and community—whether positive or negative, participants will have to decide.
